Brian and Jane Casey, are passionate chestnut growers who are committed to supplying our customers with the best quality fresh chestnuts and chestnut products.

The 2008 season is now over and we have SOLD OUT of fresh nuts.  We would like to thank all our mail order customers for their support this year and look forward to talking to everyone again next chestnut season.

Jane was recently booked to do a chestnut cooking demonstration at the Mountain Fresh Festival at Mount Hotham. She travelled halfway up the mountain to find the road closed due to very bad weather. With cars banked up and with all her gear in the back of the car, Jane decided to heat up the chestnut and sherry soup that she had taken for the demo. The other travellers were very surprised when she opened up the back of the car and fired up her portable gas cooker while the snow fell around. The bus behind her filed out for their cup of hot chestnut soup while they all waited for the road to clear and it boosted everyones spirits. She didn't make it up the mountain but her recipes can be found in the recipe section of the site under "Extra Recipes." The Chestnuts, Brussel Sprouts, Pancetta and Cream are particularly recommended and is my favourite chestnut recipe ever.
